Update on key summer tournaments across the region + the lovely Taconic
Happy Friday!
Apologies for the delay in programming. It’s been a busy last few weeks with vacations and other priorities. In truth, I’m still working on finding a way to balance work and family obligations while running this fun side project.
You have my commitment, though, to keep bringing you the flavor of the 413 golf scene. I’ll be playing around with formats for a bit to find the right mix of content — tournament schedules and news, reviews, and looks into the great people that make the 413 golf world go round.
As always, I could use your help. Please ask your local club to share with me its news — whether member tournaments, course news, or other key information worth spreading across the region. They (or you) can submit here or simply email [email protected]. Thanks again for your continued support.
With that, let’s get to this week’s edition, including:
An update on the tournaments and outings recently completed and those you should get on your radar ASAP
A deep dive into the lovely Taconic Golf Club
News and notes from the 413 Golf community
And more!
Hit ‘em long. Hit ‘em straight.

Before we dive into the rest of this week’s newsletter, please do me one favor. I’d love to get more people receiving this email weekly. Please consider sharing this with your playing buddies and passing along to your head pro or general manager to share with the club’s email list! Thank you!
Lastly, did you know you can also share information about the events or outings you run or play in? Submit via this simple form.
Thank you for helping grow the 413 Golf community. I appreciate you!
Today’s Partner: PUTTR
With the simulator boom in full spectacle, how many of us just dream of installing an at-home golf man cave? But the costs of simulators — not to mention the space required — prevents so many of us from living that dream.
Today’s partner product, PUTTR, can bridge that gap, though.
PUTTR is an AI-powered smart putting green developed to transform your golf game with a touch of style and an abundance of fun. PUTTR combines “the most fun you’ll ever have putting” with “developing the best putting stroke of your life.”
The size of a standard rollout practice putting mat, PUTTR is so much more than that. It arrives in an easy-to-store box and offers games, training, data through its app, and much more.
As a partner product, PUTTR is offering 413 Golf subscribers 10% off and has several different payment options.

Featured 413 Golf Course
Western Massachusetts is home to so many highly-rated private clubs, popular public courses, and countless hidden gems. Each week, we’ll feature one of the many courses across the region. This week, get to know:
Taconic Golf Club
Nestled in Williamstown, this classic course originally installed in 1896 (making it one of the nation’s oldest tracks) has undergone numerous transformations, evolving into a premier course while preserving its traditional charm. The club carries a storied past and has become a course literally everyone should play at least once.
I had the chance to play it for the first time in late June and only wish I lived closer — as I’d love to play it every single day. The challenging tee shots, narrow landing areas, and — at times — unfair green complexes all combine into a masterpiece.
Renowned for its meticulously maintained greens and challenging layout, the Williams College campus course was designed by famed architect Wayne Stiles in 1927 and later refined by Rees Jones. With rolling fairways, strategic bunkers, and stunning vistas of the surrounding mountains, each hole offers a unique test of skill and strategy.
Visit TaconicGolf.com to learn more and book a tee time.
