413 Golf Weekend Primer: Let the (Memorial Day) games begin...
Plus, get to know Springfield CC pro Taylor Schmidt!
What’s up, Big Dog?
To me, there are two starts to the golf season. There’s The Masters in early April that gets us all energized for our rain-soaked first few rounds of the year. And, there’s Memorial Day weekend…
Indeed, Memorial Day weekend marks the first of a few high points in the calendar of events for golfers across the 413. With a solid forecast the next two days, an extra day off on Monday for most of us, and a slew of highly-anticipated events, it’s go time boys and girls.
Let the games begin.

Today’s Partner: PUTTR
Father’s Day is coming soon and I, for one, couldn’t think of a gift I’d want more than PUTTR (anyone, feel free to forward this to my wife and kids :)).
With the simulator boom in full spectacle, how many of us just dream of installing an at-home golf man cave? But the costs of simulators — not to mention the space required — prevents so many of us from living that dream.
Today’s partner product, PUTTR, can bridge that gap, though.
PUTTR is an AI-powered smart putting green developed to transform your golf game with a touch of style and an abundance of fun. PUTTR combines “the most fun you’ll ever have putting” with “developing the best putting stroke of your life.”
The size of a standard rollout practice putting mat, PUTTR is so much more than that. It arrives in an easy-to-store box and offers games, training, data through its app, and much more.
As a partner product, PUTTR is offering 413 Golf subscribers 10% off and has several different payment options.
